Hello!

My name is Emma Horrocks.

 

I am a mother of two and a wife of a copper miner, and together we live in a small mining town in Arizona. My journey in writing a children’s book began with a question: what happens inside a copper mine? After learning the process, my mom and I decided this was a story worth telling to help teach children the importance of mining. I wrote the story, and my mom illustrated. 

 

I have always had a passion for writing, and was positively influenced by my many English teachers throughout the years. I received my Bachelors in English at BYU-Idaho and will continue to write children’s books in the future.
